Mummy makeover with Dr Maurizio Viel and Dr Roberto Viel, plastic surgeons. Will it be botox or liposuction, or both?
Many of us swore in our twenties that we would never consider plastic surgery, and in our early-thirties started to listen to more and more girlfriends talk about it. Those of us in our early forties now are extremely interested as our youngest child is about 6 years old. Perhaps we have a little more time for the first time in years to stare in the mirrors at the worry lines, laughter lines and all the emotions and evidence that comes with having a family.
Is it over?
Perhaps it is better to age gracefully, eat healthy, exercise and take our daily supplements – do little by little to keep this machine in shape. It is too easy to think, is it over? None of us ever regret having our children but there is a part of us that can’t stop staring at the new lines that seem to develop on a daily basis – the phrase ‘get-up and go’ no longer exists. We all have put on some foundation and a little make-up just to do the school run for fear of scaring the children with our real faces. Maybe this is just exaggerating, but these are the crazy thoughts and fears that many mums feel it’s taboo to discuss.
Celebrity mums
It is obvious who has had bad plastic surgery in the world of Hollywood but no one ever bothers to discuss good plastic surgery work. Look at Sharon Osbourne – she looks better now than she ever did and no one dares argue with that. Even Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian’s mum, had a face-lift, and we want her surgeon’s number but the US is a little too far and isn’t it better to recover in the comforts of your own home? It is important to realize that not all plastic surgery work involves looking like Joan Rivers – who we love as a personality but not a look that many of us desire to emulate – the phrase ‘wind-tunnel’ springs to mind.
Dr Google
In our hunt for our ideal plastic surgeon, the first place to start is the internet. How many of us are closet ‘googlers’ trawling through Dr Google looking for beauty hope and dreams that the internet tries to serve us – some new miracle cure and cream that does not involve surgery. Maybe it is time to research something a little more drastic, and we came across these Italian twin surgeons known for the subtle and honest work.
Twin-beauty-effect – Nip and Tuck
Dr Maurizio and Dr Roberto Viel, Italian plastic surgeons with over twenty years experience on London’s Harley Street, are pioneers in their industry. They have appeared in countless magazines, tv programs, trained other surgeons, given speeches at international conferences but meeting them is a different experience – surprisingly down-to-earth in their crisp Italian suits and soothing Italian accents. It is easy to see why patients feel comfortable to them. They take time out of their busy hectic schedule to tell us what mums are choosing to do today and why.
